The archive preserves documentary evidence of the activities of all power structures that operated on the territory of Ukraine during the twentieth century: from the Ukrainian People's Republic to independent Ukraine. Among them are documents of the period of the Ukrainian Revolution (1917–1921), a large volume of files of the Soviet period, sources for the history of World War II et cetera. The set of documents of the Prague Archives' includes the scientific and cultural achievements of Ukrainian emigration during the interwar period. The archive's collections contain numerous documents reflecting the history and culture of many peoples and countries. Documents come from more than 300 sources of acquisition, including the Administration of the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, Prosecutor General's Office, High Council of Justice, Ministries, State Committees. Our task is to preserve and increase the treasury of the National Archival Fund, to provide free access to the documents and their information for all stakeholders in Ukraine and abroad
